Only dead fish swim with the stream

You’re never too old to skate.

You’re never too old to skate.

Apparently you are never too old to skate.

Nice little piece on The One Show on British TV the other day about the band Jesus Jones and their huge hit (especially in the US) “Right here, Right Now”.

Nice little background story about the band and how they came to write the song. Partly filmed at Harrow skatepark with Mike Edwards and Iain Baker being interviewed. I spent many years skateboarding at Harrow skatepark and a few of those skating with Iain Baker too. So I found it pretty interesting.

Spoilt at the end when they cut back to the studio and the idiotic presenter Alex Jones and her sarcastic comment of “never too old to skate”. To much stupid laughter from the studio.

It bloody annoys me when people dismiss skateboarding as only for kids. She wouldn’t make that comment if it was an older gent who was cycling, skiing, snowboarding or heaven forbid playing football (soccer). Why then is it fair game to try and belittle a skateboarder for cheap laughs. It really shouldn’t bother me should it, but it does.

Silly cow.
