Itching for a roll on my skateboard.

It’s been 7 months since I broke my 3rd elbow and I haven’t stood on skateboard since then. I’m itching for a roll on my skateboard somewhere now. Something nice and mellow to get my head back around it and restore some confidence without breaking any more bones. Just a roll around somewhere flat would be enough to start with.

Thing is the bloody plate and screws in the left arm arm so bloody sensitive. I only have to tap it on something and it hurts. God know’s what it’ll be like when I inevitably fall over.

I’m gonna have to temper my expectations too. My already tiny bag of tricks has been shrinking for years and a 7 plus month layoff isn’t gonna have helped is it? I’ll be happy with carves and grinds and the occasional rock n roll if I can.

Back to the Hospital in early January too for a follow up appointment where I’m gonna make it clear that I want all of the metal work out again. It’ll probably be middle of summer at least by the time that happens though.

Here’s one of my main skate mates Mick Forster at XC in Hemel Hempstead proving that old dogs can still do old tricks…
